This year, the prize was judged by three members of Kevin’s family; Rebecca Hind, Tom Slingsby, Holly Slingsby along with Jason Gaiger and guest judge Eleanor Crook.

“This object-based practice investigates the importance of failure. The meticulous, often-laborious craft creates objects that slow the viewer down in order to reveal signifiers of their coded narrative. Time spent with the objects, accorded by their nature, allows for seemingly dumb forms to develop into comical, mischievous, and thoughtful sculpture.” (Artist’s Statement)
