The film Gold Dust by Ruskin BFA alumna, Becs Andrews (1997-2000) has recently been selected for inclusion in the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition, LIGHT.
Becs Andrews is one of only 4 artists to have been selected to exhibit at LIGHT from 30th June - 5th July 2015. Her film Gold Dust is based on particle physics.
The Summer Science Exhibition is an annual display of the most exciting cutting-edge science and technology in the UK. This week-long festival features exhibits, talks and workshops from the forefront of innovation.
Becs Andrews is an award-winning artist-producer and stage designer specializing in collaborative and cross-disciplinary projects with scientists, technologists and performers. Becs has created set and costume designs for opera, theatre and dance, with an emphasis on integration of performer and design. Her design work encompasses set, costume and video for dance, opera, theatre, film and television, including the Royal Opera House, The National Theatre, The Royal Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, National Ballet of Japan and many other organisations.
