John Stezaker: At the Edge of Pictures, by Yuval Etgar / Yuval Etgar

John Stezaker: At the Edge of Pictures forms the first monographic study to provide a historical account of John Stezaker’s life and work.  By taking the eventful decades of the 1970s and 1980s as its prism, Ruskin DPhil alumnus Yuval Etgar offers a new reading of the artist’s practice as well as a mapping of collage and image appropriation strategies from this pivotal period. To launch his new book Etgar also curated an exhibition focusing on this period in Stezaker’s career, on display at Luxembourg + Co., London, until 23 January 2021.  The exhibition includes prized and rarely seen collages and silkscreen, including several loans from Tate and other notable private and public collections.
