Workshop: Theories of the Image

Tuesday 18th June. A one-day workshop on theories of the image to mark the launch of the Oxford Institute of Visual Research (IVR) and the 2013 Leverhulme Visiting Professorship, awarded to Professor Lambert Wiesing (University of Jena).

12.00 – Bence Nanay (Cambridge/ Antwerp): ‘The History of Vision’ 
13.00-14.00 – Lunch (provided)
14.00 – Lambert Wiesing (Jena): ‘Image Theory: a Report from the Field’ followed by a Round Table Discussion with Karen Lang (Warwick), Jaś Elsner (Oxford) and the other participants.
