'This is Really Happening' showcases Modern Art Oxford's selected artists for the Platform Graduate Award, and features new work from Ruskin 2025 BFA Graduate Ella Soni, Sofia Pantsjoha (University of Reading), and Brontè Wyse (Oxford Brookes University). 

A celebration of the exhibition will take place on Thursday 23rd October, 6.30-10pm with performances, talks, workshops and music. Don't miss new performances by Ella Soni, as part of the duo Animal Dreams, and Jarad Jackson (Ruskin BFA 2025).

The Platform Graduate Award is an initiative led by CVAN South East in partnership with a number of art galleries to support emerging graduate artistic talent. Following an exhibition and events programme across the participating venues, one artist is selected for the Platform Graduate Award from each art gallery. The awardees from across the region each receive a £500 bursary and a 12-month mentoring package provided by the participating venues.
