HOLLY MUIR (BFA): Milk on Wood

The latest exhibition by Ruskin BFA student Holly Muir was commissioned as part of the contemporary art festival, Art Language Location. Drawing from the visual language of graphic novels and comic books, Holly has created a large grid of wooden panels that narrate Dylan Thomas's 'play for voices', Under Milk Wood.

Holly Muir is a third year BFA student based at Worcester College.

Her work uses the human figure to explore both existing narratives and those that she creates. Over the last three years Holly has gained considerable experience in designing, constructing and decorating stage sets. This training is leading her towards the development of innovative spaces and narrative-based environments for performance.

The aim of 'Milk on Wood' is to explore the possibilities of sequential art and confront the thought processes that occur when we engage with fiction.
