Workshop: Theories of the Image
Tuesday 18th June. A one-day workshop on theories of the image to mark the launch of the Oxford Institute of Visual Research (IVR) and the 2013 Leverhulme Visiting Professorship, awarded to Professor Lambert Wiesing (University of Jena).
James Cross wins the Slingsby Prize

Oxford University Press Pirye Prize 2013
The winner of this year’s OUP Pirye Prize is Camilla Metcalf (St Edmund Hall). Congratulations! Five shortlisted second year students have been offered an exhibition in the Walton Street offices of OUP. Turner Prize 2013: Shortlist Announced
Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, a Visiting Tutor at the Ruskin, has been shortlisted for the Turner Prize 2013.
Lambert Wiesing announced as Leverhulme Trust Visiting Professor at the Ruskin School
Professor Lambert Wiesing has been awarded a 2013 Leverhulme Trust Visiting Professorship at the Ruskin School. Through the generous support of the Leverhulme Trust, he will be holding a series of lectures, talks and workshops at the University of Oxford in Trinity Term.
Mapping South: Journeys in South-South Cultural Relations
With an international editorial collective led by the Ruskin’s Director of Graduate Studies Dr Anthony Gardner, Mapping South explores the South as a complex platform for regional identity and cultural provocation through essays, interviews and artworks by contributors from Australia and around the world.
