For information about the Graduate Open Day,
please go to the relevant page on our website here.
There is no requirement to visit the Ruskin prior to applying, but you may find it useful to view our facilities, meet staff and students, and learn more about what we offer.
The Ruskin takes part in Oxford University's undergraduate Open Days each year: in 2020 these will be held on on Wednesday 1 and Thursday July, and Friday 18 September..
Tutors speak about the BFA course, the facilities available at the Ruskin and provide information about the admissions process. Talks start at 10 am and 2.30pm and each is followed by a Q&A session. You will also be able to take home a folder with further information about the Ruskin. There will be opportunities to meet the staff and students and tour the buildings (see also Facilities at the Ruskin).
Please see the BFA section in the Study pages of this website for updates about the application process in 2020 for entry in 2021.
Please Note: It is not possible to review any portfolios during an Open Day or any other visit to the Ruskin. Visits present an opportunity to see the facilities, hear about the course and understand more about the admissions process.
While booking for Open Days isn't compulsory, and we will try to accommodate all prospective candidates on the day, a reservation is recommended. Booking will open early in 2020 at the University's Online Stores
Doors open 30 mins before each session, and we request that those who have booked arrive in time to take their seats 15 minutes before the start, after which spare places will be released to anyone waiting.
This event is always over-subscribed, so due to space limitations, we regret that only potential candidates can attend the talks and tours, and we are not able to accommodate accompanying family, carers and friends. We thank you for your consideration and understanding that our priority is to include all prospective students who may be applying in October.
Accompanying family and friends can drop in to the Open Day Information Centre in the Examinations Schools next door, where there will be information desks about studying in Oxford, as well as talks. Otherwise there are plenty of cafes nearby.
Candidates travelling from over 70 miles away to attend an Open Day may be able to book accommodation in an Oxford college; please see this page for details of those colleges which offer Fine Art. Further information is available on the University of Oxford's Open Day pages.
