Tala Mikulska’s (born 1990 in Warsaw) interests lie in neurodivergent experience and uncovering what is beneath the socially structured masks. She employs the classical subjects like portrait or light and reframes them within a contemporary, scientifically informed perspective. Her sculptures are between abstract and figurative, and invite the audience to experience change resulting from time's influence on its physical properties. Working with historical techniques and materials, like earth pigments or scagliola, she bridges the past and the present - offering both continuity and novelty, and a way to connect to others through shared experiences of perception.
