Hazel Dowling

Hazel Dowling works with film, performance and text to stage filmic and performative encounters. Movement and motion often act as elliptical prisms for topics such as familial trauma and histories of land use and labour. Sustained collaborative relationships and dialogues with movement practitioners and land workers are pivotal to the processes in her work and these often inform approaches to decentring the human, as a means to understand how extractive processes impact the environment.
