Ale (Alejandro) Nodarse Jammal is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, curator and art historian. Their research-based practice considers the intersection of personal and collective history, the poetics of migration, and the potentials of the (photographic) archive as a site of violence and of reparation. They think often about art — its history, its materiality, and its practice — in relationship to allegory, language, and ethics. Their recent work merges text, print, performance, and sculptural installation.
They are completing a PhD in the History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University.
