Elleanna Chapman

Elleanna is a communist interested in the political potential of art and how it may catalyse revolution. Her practice frames this call for revolution through all things kitsch, cute and kitty-tastic, juxtaposing British working-class aesthetics and political militancy with the hyperfemme and adorable. Working across mediums, including printmaking, collage, and installation, Elleanna attempts to bring the true nature of class society to the fore; her observations just happen to be delivered by a litter of scrumptiously cute kittens. Beyond the studio, Elleanna also facilitates political⭑creative⭑community workshops, runs a zine and independent publication library and is an active member of the Revolutionary Communist International.
