Sarah Catterall

Sarah Catterall is a multimedia artist from Sheffield (UK) and Seattle, Washington (USA). 

Their visual language collages a variety of mediums such as printmaking, painting, frottage, automatic writing, drawing from observation, textiles and photography. They are concerned with recording the visual, aural, physical textures in the places and spaces they encounter. 

As they record their environment, they collect a repository of items which are further categorised into ‘projects’. Utilising the language of cinema, projects are then ‘montaged’ as they study, alter, conflate and repeat imagery.
