Anna Du Toit

Anna works across various artforms in response to a host of stimuli - her surroundings, her memories and the people she encounters. Her works are essentially bred from boredom, a childish need to compose new worlds within the ones we don’t yet comprehend. The incessant fidgeting of hands demands more than just flesh to keep us engrossed. If only it could be peeled back, dissected, tattooed upon or destroyed... Her chosen mediums become a conduit for the uncanny, realised through visual storytelling where the boundaries between the real and the fantastical become blurred.
